The Disposal of Former Foodstuff and Animal By-Products - Update Course

This course, jointly arranged by Trading Standards South East and Food and Farming Compliance Ltd, will provide an update on the disposal of former food stuffs and animal by-products legislation in particular the Animal By-Products (Enforcement) (England) Regulations 2013, The TSE Regulations 2018 and their application for feed hygiene law, in particular Regulation (EC) 183/2005 laying down requirements for feed hygiene and Regulation (EC) 767/2009 for the placing on the market the use of feed, including prohibitive materials – Annex III.


The course is intended for those officers appointed to Local Authority departments who are responsible for administering and enforcing the provisions of Animal By-Products and Food and Feed Hygiene rules and associated legislation, particularly for those premises registered as R06, R07 and R12, along with the requirements required of a food business operator to ensure traceability. The course is also relevant to the Animal Health and Welfare staff of Central Government Departments and Agencies and to Food Standards Agency Personnel. It will also be important for the staff of Food Manufacturers and Retailers with responsibility for ensuring compliance on behalf of their company with the correct transport and disposal of waste food.
